Non-Executive Director Appointment
Frontier Developments plc (AIM: FDEV, "Frontier", the "Group"), a leading developer and publisher of video games based in Cambridge, UK, announces the Board appointment of Ilse Howling as a Non-Executive Director with immediate effect.
Ilse brings strong consumer-facing experience in digital entertainment channels via her 20-year executive career in the digital media sector, combined with 20 years' experience from Non-Executive Director roles in high profile, commercial and third sector consumer-facing organisations.
Ilse's executive career included twelve years at the BBC, including four years as Head of Digital Marketing and Communication. Ilse went on to lead the Freeview platform (an ITV, Channel 4, BBC, Sky, and Arqiva joint venture) from a start-up to become the UK's largest TV service in her ten years as Managing Director. She then oversaw the creation of Freeview's Play on-demand TV service, building a multi-disciplinary launch team and leading interactions with PLC shareholder main boards, consumer electronics manufacturers, regulators, government, media, and the public. Her non-executive career has included roles at digital technology companies and charitable organisations including chairing The United Kingdom Committee for UNICEF. Ilse is currently Chair of the Education Development Trust, a global commercial/social enterprise providing education services and consultancy in the UK, Middle East, Africa and Asia.
