Fairpoint announces that, on 12 March 2008, Mr A Redmond, Chief Executive
Officer of the Company, bought 48,000 ordinary shares of 1p each in the Company
at a price of 103p per share. Following this purchase Mr Redmond has an interest
in 2,251,410 shares, representing approximately 5.3% of the Company's issued
share capital.
