Notification of major interests in shares

The Company received notification on 4 August 2006 from The Goldman Sachs Group
Inc ('GS Inc') that, as at close of business on 2 August 2006, it was
interested, by attribution only, in 1,261,404 Ordinary Shares of 1p each
representing approximately 3.4% of the Company's issued share capital.

The interest arose from a beneficial interest held by Goldman Sachs
International, a wholly-owned indirect subsidiary of GS Inc.
