                    Appointment of Non Executive Director



Fuller, Smith & Turner P.L.C. ("Fuller's" or the "Company") today announces the
appointment of Nigel Atkinson as a non-executive director with effect from
Monday 10 April 2006.



Nigel Atkinson was managing director of George Gale & Co. Ltd. from November
1991 until 31 March 2006, when this role ended. During his tenure Gales has
grown, prospered and increased its profits sevenfold. In addition, under Nigel's
leadership, the company has won numerous industry and regional accolades and
awards. George Gale & Co. Ltd. was acquired by Fuller, Smith & Turner P.L.C. in
December 2005.



In addition to his role as a non-executive director of Fuller, Smith & Turner
P.L.C, Nigel Atkinson will undertake a consultancy role to the Company for three
years until March 2009 to advise on the Gales business, the future plans for the
former Horndean brewery site and to represent the company in the Hampshire area.



Commenting on this appointment, Chairman Anthony Fuller said: "I am delighted to
welcome Nigel onto the Board of Fuller's. We have nothing but admiration for the
way in which he has managed the Gales business over the last 15 years. We
believe he will be instrumental in ensuring our continued success and we will
benefit from his experience, knowledge and advice as we take the Fuller's
