Futura Medical plc (AIM: FUM), the pharmaceutical drug and medical device group
that develops innovative products for sexual health, confirms that, further to
recent press speculation, it has been advised by the major pharmaceutical group
that the formal approval process is in its final stage, as announced on 9 May
2006.  The Company is also exploring the possibility of undertaking a small cash
placing and is in consultation with its advisors but no decision has yet been
taken.  Shareholders will be kept informed of all material developments.
