In accordance with section 198 of the Companies Act 1985, Futura Medical plc
('the Company') has been notified today by Dresdner Kleinwort Wasserstein Group
Limited, an indirect subsidiary of Allianz AG, that on 12 February 2004 Allianz
Cornhill Insurance plc acquired 250,000 ordinary shares of 0.2p each in the
share capital of the Company. Following this acquisition Allianz Cornhill
Insurance plc is interested in 1,385,000 ordinary shares representing
approximately 3.02 per cent. of the Company's issued share capital.
