Holding in Company
In accordance with section 198 of the Companies Act 1985, Futura Medical plc ('
the Company') was notified today by Dresdner Kleinwort Wasserstein Group
Limited, an indirect subsidiary of Allianz AG, that Allianz Cornhill Insurance
plc ('Cornhill') acquired, on the 21 June 2006, 75,000 ordinary shares of 0.2p
each in the Company, registered in the name of Bank of New York (Nominees)
Limited. As a result of this purchase, Allianz AG (the ultimate holding company
of Cornhill) and subsidiaries together with Cornhill hold a disclosable interest
in 3,497,000 shares in the Company, equivalent to 7.04 per cent of the Company's
issued ordinary share capital.
