Mark Wood appointed as non-executive Director; John Mellon steps down as non-executive Director
Future plc, the international special-interest media group, today announces the appointment of Mark Wood as an independent non-executive Director with effect from 1 April 2009.
Mark Wood was Chief executive of ITN from June 2003 to March 2009 and Chairman since 1998. He joined ITN from Reuters, where he started as a journalist before going on to become Editor-in-Chief from 1989 to 2000. He was in charge of all Reuters news and television operations worldwide and also served on the Reuters plc Board. Prior to moving to ITN he was responsible for Reuters strategic media alliances and investments.
The Board also announces that John Mellon plans to step down as an independent non-executive Director with effect from 17 July 2009.
