NOTIFICATION OF TRANSACTIONS OF DIRECTORS, PERSONS DISCHARGING MANAGERIAL
RESPONSIBILITY OR CONNECTED PERSONS
Future plc (the 'Company'), the international special interest media group,
announces it received notification on 27 June 2006 from Abacus Corporate Trustee
Limited, the Trustee of its Employee Benefit Trust (The Future Network plc 1999
Employee Benefit Trust), that it had, on 26 June 2006, purchased 745,341
ordinary shares of 1p each in the Company at a price of 40.25p per share,
representing 0.2% of the issued share capital of the Company.
Following this transaction, the Employee Benefit Trust owns 745,341 shares in
the Company representing 0.2% of the issued share capital of the Company. John
Bowman as Group Finance Director and Stevie Spring as Chief Executive designate,
along with other employees, have a technical interest in those shares by virtue
of them being members of a class of beneficiary.
On 27 June 2006, the Company also received notification from the Trustee that
Stevie Spring had, on 27 June 2006, acquired a beneficial interest in the above
745,341 shares as a result of the grant by the Employee Benefit Trust of an
exceptional restricted share award over that number of shares in accordance with
the terms of her service agreement. The award will vest in three equal
instalments on 31 December 2006, 31 December 2007 and 31 December 2008 subject
to Stevie Spring remaining in the employment of the Company at the date on which
vesting occurs. Full details of the award will be disclosed in the Annual Report
2006.
As a result of this grant, Stevie Spring's interest in shares of the Company
amounts to 745,341 shares representing 0.2% of the issued share capital of the
Company.
