DIRECTORATE CHANGE

The Board of Galliford Try plc today announces that George Marsh has resigned as
Deputy Chief Executive and a director of the company with immediate effect.
David Calverley, Chief Executive, will take direct responsibility for the
group's construction division pending a permanent appointment.

Tony Palmer, Chairman of Galliford Try, said:

'Following 11 years of successful leadership of Galliford Plc, George Marsh has
managed Galliford Try's construction division since the merger in 2000 and was
instrumental in establishing it as a nationwide provider of construction
services.  On behalf of the Board I would like to thank him for his
contribution.'
