GALLIFORD TRY PLC APPOINTS NON-EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
Galliford Try plc, the construction and housebuilding group, is delighted to
announce the appointment of Amanda Burton as a non-executive director of the
Company with effect from 01 July 2005. She will become a member of the Company's
Audit, Remuneration and Nomination Committees.
Amanda, 46, is Chief Operating Officer for the London region of global law firm
Clifford Chance LLP. She was formerly a director of Meyer International plc and
Chairman of its Timber Group. She is also a non-executive director of M&W Mack
Limited.

'Amanda Burton is a businesswoman with considerable experience, both in the
construction and building materials sector and elsewhere. We look forward to her
contribution to the Board as it moves forward with its programme for growth.'
