GALLIFORD TRY ACHIEVES FINANCIAL CLOSE FOR
£32 MILLION NHS LOCAL IMPROVEMENT FINANCE TRUST
Galliford Try plc, the construction and housebuilding group, today announced
that it has entered into a 20 year framework partnering agreement for
construction services with Elevate Partnerships Limited and as part of the
gbconsortium it has achieved financial close on the NHS Local Improvement
Finance Trust (LIFT) for Barnet, Enfield and Haringey.
The first two projects, to be completed by December 2005, are replacement health
centres at Barnet and Edmonton. These projects are part of the first tranche
which covers seven schemes and has a contract value of £32m over a period of
three to four years, with the potential to significantly increase the number of
schemes in further phases.

This is our second LIFT project to reach financial close and we are pleased that

the health sector.'
Galliford Try and gbconsortium recently achieved financial close on the
Liverpool and Sefton NHS LIFT and are also preferred bidders for Coventry NHS
LIFT.

Notes:
1.LIFTs (Local Improvement Finance Trusts) are the Government's vehicle for
attracting private sector finance and expertise to developing primary care
centres. 42 LIFT companies will be set up across the country as joint ventures
between Primary Care Trusts (20%), the private sector(60%) and Partnerships
for Health (20%) a Government backed organisation leading the roll out of
LIFT projects.
2.The gbconsortium comprises Bilfinger Berger, BHE Holdings, Sapphire Primary
Care Developments and Galliford Try.
3.The Elevate Partnership comprises gbconsortium (60%), Partnerships for Health
(20%), Barnet Primary Care Trust, Enfield Primary Care Trust and Haringey
Teaching Primary Care Trust (20% between the three Trusts).
