                  GALLIFORD TRY SECURES OLYMPIC PARK CONTRACT



Galliford Try plc, the construction and housebuilding group, is delighted to
announce that it has been awarded a major framework contract for demolition,
remediation and associated civils works at Olympic Park in east London.


The framework, to be carried out by Morrison Construction, will start
immediately and is programmed to run until 2010. Galliford Try is one of two
contractors appointed to design and deliver the project, which will include the
remediation of the land required for the 2012 Olympic Games and their legacy.


Greg Fitzgerald, Chief Executive of Galliford Try plc, commented:

strengthened by the track record and remediation skills secured with the
acquisition of Morrison Construction. We are delighted to be playing our part in
one of the largest remaining regeneration projects in London, with the
