GALLIFORD TRY SECURES £62 MILLION IN TWO HEALTH PARTNERSHIPS
Galliford Try plc, the housebuilding and construction group, has been awarded a £22 million contract to build a new health centre in Coventry as part of its LIFT framework partnering agreement with Coventry Care Partnership.
Galliford Try will undertake the demolition of the existing health centre on the site, along with the design and construction of the new five-storey City Centre Health Facility. The new health centre will include GP Practices, the city's walk-in health centre and a pharmacy. The building will be built to achieve the BREEAM "Excellent" rating. Construction of the new facility will start in April and completion is expected in November 2011.
Galliford Try Chief Executive Greg Fitzgerald commented "We are delighted to be awarded this contract which is reflective of our excellent track record both within this LIFT framework and also the wider healthcare sector."
Galliford Try has also renewed its framework partnering agreement with Liverpool and Sefton Health Partnership (LSHP).
Galliford Try has been working with LSHP for the past five years and has been reselected as a framework partner under which it will undertake the construction of eight purpose-built neighbourhood health centres across Liverpool and Sefton over the next five years, anticipated to be worth £40 million.
Galliford Try Chief Executive, Greg Fitzgerald commented "We have a long standing relationship with Liverpool and Sefton Health Partnership and have successfully delivered a range of health projects. The renewal of our partnership reinforces our strong market position in the health sector and we look forward to continuing to provide quality community health facilities."
