SCOTTISH WATER SELECTS GALLIFORD TRY'S SCOTTISH INFRASTRUCTURE BUSINESS, MORRISON CONSTRUCTION, AS DELIVERY PARTNER
Galliford Try plc is delighted to announce that its Scottish infrastructure business, Morrison Construction, has been selected as one of 17 framework partners to work on projects with Scottish Water's in-house delivery arm, Capital Investment Delivery, and also its new joint venture partnership delivery arm, Scottish Water Solutions 2.
The framework will cover nearly £2 billion of capital works in Scotland, and has been split into three distinct lots: non-infrastructure, infrastructure and capital maintenance work. Morrison Construction is one of only five framework partners to have secured a position on all three lots.
Two of the lots (non-infrastructure and capital maintenance) will be carried out in joint venture with current partner Enpure with Morrison Construction sole appointee on the third.
Construction work is expected to start under the framework in April 2010 and will run for four years with a two year renewal option.
Greg Fitzgerald, Chief Executive, commented:
'We are delighted that Morrison Construction's long standing relationship has been renewed with this appointment. We look forward to continuing to deliver a quality service to Scottish Water and its customers.'
