GALLIFORD TRY AWARDED £21 MILLION OF WORK IN
NORTH WEST ENGLAND
Galliford Try plc the housebuilding and construction group, has been awarded two contracts worth a total of £21.2 million to undertake construction work in the north west of England.
The first project is a £16.5 million contract to undertake the regeneration of Orford Park in Warrington for Warrington Borough Council. Sport, health and community facilities will be provided on a former landfill site including a sports hall, dance studios, squash courts, library, ICT centre, swimming pool, GP surgeries and a vocational learning centre for young people.
The second award is a £4.7 million project to build a new mosque, community centre and two residential units in Ashton under Lyme, Greater Manchester for Markazi Jamia Mosque. Work on site will start in June and will be completed by summer 2011.
