      GALLIFORD TRY APPOINTED ON 500 HOME REGENERATION SCHEME IN DEVONPORT


Galliford Try plc, the construction and housebuilding group, is pleased to
announce that it has been appointed preferred development partner by Westco
Properties Ltd, part of Devon and Cornwall Housing Association, for a major
regeneration scheme in Devonport, Plymouth.


The scheme, to be carried out in joint venture with Westco, will comprise the
demolition and redevelopment of local authority estates to provide modern, mixed
tenure homes.  It is expected to provide up to 500 residential units over the
lifetime of the project.


Work is expected to begin in 2007 and to complete in 2013.
