New management appointments to support growth strategy

Gama Aviation Plc ("Gama Aviation") the global aviation services company, has announced the addition of four new management roles within its leadership team to supporting its growth strategy to double the scale of the business over the next two years. The new positions will augment the existing leadership team to drive organic growth and efficiently integrate acquisitions into the business. The new management positions are as follows:

 

Neil Medley, Chief Operating Officer, Group

Neil joins as Chief Operating Officer ("COO"), a new position within the leadership team.  Neil joins the business from his former post of Chief Operating Officer of BAE Systems Applied Intelligence (part of BAE Systems plc, the FTSE 50 company). Neil will work alongside Marwan Khalek, Chief Executive of Gama Aviation, to improve business performance across all geographies.

 

Sergio Oliveira e Silva, General Manager, Hong Kong

Sergio joins the Group after twelve years' experience at Netjets and four years' experience in Hong Kong with Metrojet and Jet Aviation. His past experience positions him well to drive the performance of the Hong Kong business. With three aircraft already under management, Sergio will be focused on sourcing and growing additional scale into the Hong Kong operation.

 

Giovanni de Berti, General Manager, Africa

Giovanni joins Gama Aviation with twenty-five years' aviation experience, of which twelve is in business aviation. He will lead the African business.  With experience in his previous role with Emeraude / ENI S.p.A (whose business aviation contract Gama Aviation operates), Giovanni is ideally positioned to manage the dynamics of this market, with the remit of re-launching the African operations.  

 

Keith Marshall, General Manager, Engineering, Europe

Keith returns to lead the European maintenance business after managing the Gama Aviation's Hong Kong operations.  Keith's role will be to further enhance its geographic breadth and services depth.

 

Marwan Khalek, Chief Executive Officer, Gama Aviation, commented:
