The Company was advised on 31 July 2001 that earlier that day, Games Workshop
Employee Share Trust (on the direction of Games Workshop Trustee Limited)
acquired 36,265 Ordinary Shares of 5p each at 415p per share.  Messrs C J
Myatt, S G Forrest and M Sherwin, directors of the Company, are directors of
Games Workshop Trustee Limited.



As a result of this purchase, Games Workshop Trustee Limited is interested in
236,265 Ordinary Shares, representing 0.75 per cent. of the Company's issued
share capital.



Of the 36,265 Ordinary Shares acquired by Games Workshop Employee Share Trust
(on the direction of Games Workshop Trustee Limited), a total of 7,518 have
been purchased on behalf of M Sherwin, the Company's finance director.  As a
result, M Sherwin has a beneficial interest in 37,518 Ordinary Shares,
representing 0.12 per cent. of the Company's issued ordinary share capital.
