GAMES WORKSHOP GROUP PLC

TRADING UPDATE

Games Workshop Group PLC announces that profits for the year ending 1 June 2003
are likely to exceed current market expectations.


Trading across the group has been largely in line with budget for the 8 months
to January 2003.  In February and March trading in the UK business has been
unexpectedly strong.  This follows the launch in February 2003 of the Battle
Games in Middle Earth serialised gaming supplement.


The Company expects to announce its preliminary results for the year ending 1
June 2003 on 29 July 2003.
