Gattaca plc (the "Company")
Admission of Shares and Block Admission
The Company announces that an application has been made for the admission of 380,420 ordinary shares of 1p each in the Company ("Shares") to trading on AIM. These Shares were issued pursuant to the exercise of share options in the Company by employees but were not concurrently admitted to trading on AIM. Admission is expected to occur at 8.00am on 5 October 2018. The Company's total issued share capital following admission will consist of 32,138,214 ordinary shares of 1p each with one voting right per share. The above figure of 32,138,214 may be used by shareholders as the denominator for the calculations by which they can determine if they are required to notify their interest in, or a change to their interest in, the Company following admission.
In addition, the Company announces that an application has been made to AIM for a block admission to trading on AIM in respect of 657,000 new ordinary shares of 1p each in the share capital of the Company (the "Block Admission"). It is expected that such admission will become effective on 5 October 2018. This Block Admission will increase the number of shares under the Company's existing block listing, which is used to satisfy the issue of shares pursuant to exercises of options under the Company's employee share incentive plans ("Incentive Schemes").
The Company currently has a balance of zero shares remaining under its existing block listing, which will be increased to 657,000 following Admission. This figure is considered adequate for anticipated exercises of options under the Incentive Schemes for the foreseeable future. The Company's issued share capital will not change as a result of the Block Admission. The Company expects to publish its next 6 monthly Block Listing Interim Review on or around 1 April 2019.
