GB Group Announces Agreement with Stena Line for the Provision of an
Integrated Marketing Customer Database Solution
GB Group plc today announces that it has signed a three-year agreement with
Stena Line to provide an Integrated Marketing Customer Database Solution for
Stena Line's marketing operations in the UK and the Republic of Ireland.
Under the agreement, GB Group will provide a data storage and analysis solution
aimed at identifying Stena Line's most profitable potential and existing
customers and then targeting those customers to increase profitability and
reduce costs. The solution also standardises, enhances and consolidates key
customer data to enable Stena Line to create a single customer view whereby the
data from all of their customers is captured, analysed and then fed back into
the solution to provide a perpetual data intelligence environment.
Richard Law, GB Group's Chief Executive, said: 'This significant agreement with
Stena Line is an example of how the major data intelligence projects provided by
GB Group can improve a client's profitability and I anticipate establishing
similar projects with other clients. GB Group's DataInsight and DataManagement
Division, whose experience and capabilities were strengthened in November 2002
with GB Group's acquisition of eWare Interactive Limited, will fulfil this
particular project. This new combination of resource and activity has now seen
demonstrable results with the completion of this agreement with Stena Line and
the recent data analysis project with AstraZeneca, announced in December 2002.
'GB Group has shown once again that it is a market-leader in the field of data
analytics and management and we very much look forward to implementing this
strategic solution with Stena Line.'
Miranda Huntley, Database Manager of Stena Line, said: 'Stena Line is always
looking at ways that we can improve our communications with our clients and we
are looking forward to working with GB Group.'
