                          TELME.COM PLC ('The Company')

                            Change of Company Name

The Company today announces that, with immediate effect, it has changed its
name to TelMe Group plc.  The new name reflects the fact that the majority of
the Group's operations are no longer Internet based.  It is also a better
representation of the Group's range of activities whilst retaining the value
of the 'TelMe' brand.  Permission to change the name was granted by
shareholders at the Company's AGM held on 27 July 2001.

Shareholders are asked to note that share certificates bearing the Company's
previous name will continue to be valid and that replacement certificates will
not be required to be issued.
