Notification of Interest of Director in PhoneLink plc (the 'Company')

In  accordance  with  Section 324 of the Companies Act 1985,  the  Company was
notified yesterday that Iain Johnston, an executive director, sold  95,000
ordinary  shares  of 2.5p each in the capital of the Company (representing 
0.13% of the issued share capital). The sale price was £1.47 per share.

Following  the  sale  of  these  shares,  Mr  Johnston  continues  to  have  an
interest in 1,282,694 ordinary 2.5p shares in the capital of  the  Company
(representing 1.78% of the issued share capital).

The  sale  was effected by Mr Johnston in order to satisfy a personal, 
financial requirement.
