             INTEREST IN THE SHARES OF GB GROUP PLC ('the Company')



The Company announces today the following interests in the issued share capital
of the Company:


- Notification was received on 6 December 2004, that Trevor Burke no longer has
a notifiable interest in the shares of the Company; and

- Notification was received on 3 December 2004, that Gartmore Investment
Management plc now has an interest in 4,824,828 ordinary shares of the Company
representing 6.04% of the issued share capital of the Company. Included within
this interest is the holding of Gartmore Fund Managers Limited of 2,629,795
ordinary shares of the Company representing 3.29% of the issued share capital of
the Company.
