               NOTICE OF MAJOR INTEREST IN SHARES OF GB GROUP PLC

GB Group received notification today that, following a purchase of 500,000
shares (representing 0.62% of the Company's issued share capital), the
Universities Superannuation Scheme Limited now has an interest in 3,550,000
ordinary shares of 2.5p, representing 5.30% of the issued share capital of the
Company. These shares are registered as UK Smaller Companies registered under
Chase Nominees Ltd (USS).
