                                  Name change



At the annual general meeting of Global Coal Management plc held yesterday, the
special resolution for a name change to GCM Resources Plc was duly passed.



The change in name is consistent with the Company's strategy and corporate
branding whilst enabling the continued use of 'GCM' as the London Stock Exchange
code. All subsidiary names remain unchanged.
