Glencar was informed today that William Cummins, a non-executive director of the
Company, purchased 1,200,000 shares in Glencar on 18 September 2003 at a price
of €0.031 per share.

Following this purchase Mr. Cummins' total holding is 1,387,500 ordinary shares
in the Company representing 1.42% of the issued ordinary share capital.
