Govett Emerging Markets Investment Trust PLC
The Board of Govett Emerging Markets Investment Trust PLC
('the Company') received on 25th May 2000 a requisition
from shareholders holding some 13.7 per cent of the
issued share capital, requesting that the Directors
convene an extraordinary general meeting of the Company.
The requisition requires the meeting to consider an
ordinary resolution that the Directors should, within two
months of the meeting, put forward proposals to
shareholders to provide a range of continued investment
and realisation options which would enable shareholders
to continue their investment in the Company or to realise
the whole of their investment at a price related to net
asset value.
The Board is considering this requisition and will be
writing to shareholders shortly.
