                          Appointment of Finance Director


Genus PLC, the World leading International Bovine Genetics company, is pleased
to announce the appointment of David Timmins as Group Finance Director, with
effect from 29th March 2004.

David, aged 51, is a graduate chartered accountant, with board experience in
international public companies.  He joins Genus from Robotic Technology Systems
PLC, where he has been Group Finance Director for the last 5 years.

Richard Wood, Chief Executive, commenting on the appointment said:-

'I am delighted that David is joining the Board as he brings a wealth of
experience from a number of companies which will be of benefit to Genus.  We
look forward to working with him'.

On the 31st January 2002, Robotic Technology Systems PLC appointed an
administrative receiver to RTS Networks Group PLC as part of a voluntary
liquidation of that Company.  Mr Timmins resigned as a Non-Executive Director of
RTS Networks Group PLC on 25th September 2001.

Other than stated as above, there is no information relating to Mr Timmins or
his appointment as a director of Genus requiring announcement under paragraph
(f) of Schedule 2 of the AIM Rules for Companies.
