Issue of New Ordinary Shares

The Company announces that it has today applied for 305,000 new ordinary
shares of 10p each, fully paid to be admitted to trading on AIM. These shares
have been issued under the terms of the Company's 1996 and 1997 Executive
Share Option Schemes.

Dealings in the new ordinary shares are expected to commence at 8:30 a.m. on
17 January 2001.
