                        NOTIFICATION OF INTERIM RESULTS


Genus plc ('Genus'), the world's leading animal genetics company, announces that
it will make a second interim results statement in respect of the twelve month
period ended 31 March 2006 on Wednesday 7 June 2006. This is due to the
previously announced change in year end date to 30 June.


An analysts' briefing will be held at 9.30am at Buchanan Communications, 45
Moorfields, London EC2Y 9AE on the day of results.
