                    Posting of Offer and Admission Documents



Genus plc ('Genus') announces that yesterday it posted the Offer Document and
the Admission Document in connection with the recommended offer by Bridgewell
Securities Limited on behalf of Genus for Sygen International Plc ('Sygen') for
a total cash consideration of approximately £188 million (the 'Offer'). The
first closing date of the Offer is 21 November 2005.



An extraordinary general meeting ('EGM') of the shareholders of Genus has been
convened in connection with, among other things, the Offer by means of a notice
of EGM posted yesterday to the shareholders of Genus. The EGM will be held at
the offices of Berwin Leighton Paisner, St. Magnus House, 3 Lower Thames Street,
London EC3R 6HA at 11:00 am on 25 November 2005.
