                        Result of Annual General Meeting

Genus plc ('Genus') is pleased to announce that at the Annual General Meeting
which was held on 18 August 2005, all resolutions were passed.

The resolutions included the appointment of Deloitte & Touche as auditors to the
Company as a replacement to Ernst & Young. Ernst & Young have served the Company
well for 10 years since Genus' incorporation. However, following such a long
period of service and in line with good corporate governance, the Audit
Committee of the Board felt it appropriate to undertake an audit tender, as a
result of which a decision was taken to change auditors to Deloitte & Touche..
