                    Sale of Human Pharmaceuticals Business


The Distribution Division of Genus plc completed the sale of the stock and
goodwill of its £2.6 million per year human pharmaceuticals wholesale business
on 15 March to Audenbrook Ltd.  The consideration was £352,000 in cash.


Genus Distribution is a marketer and wholesale distributor of veterinary
products.  The sale of this non-core human pharmaceutical business will enable
the Division's new management to concentrate its efforts on the recovery of
the Division's principal businesses in the veterinary sector.
