Gfinity appointed to deliver on-line platform for inaugural ePremier League USA
Gfinity plc (AIM: GFIN), a world-leading esports provider, has been appointed to operate the online qualifier and online playoffs for the ePremier League USA. The ePremier League USA, delivered by NBC Sports and the Premier League, is a free-to-play tournament and the finals will be played at the next Premier League Mornings Live fan festival in Philadelphia on 4-5 April 2020.
The ePremier League USA will see players choose a Premier League club to represent on either PlayStation of Xbox One. Over a two-week period from 2-15 March 2020, competitors will battle it out through online qualification and online playoffs for a place in the final with finalists flown to Philadelphia to compete. The Premier League Mornings Live festival will take place over two days at Dilworth Park, outside Philadelphia's City Hall in the city centre, and features live action from nine Premier League fixtures across five match windows. The Philadelphia fan festival is the third and final Premier League Mornings Live supporter event that NBC Sports and the Premier League will present this season, following October's event in Austin, Texas, and December's event in Miami, Florida.
