Gfinity Engaged to Host the NBA 2K League European Invitational
Gfinity plc (AIM: GFIN), a world-leading esports provider, is pleased to announce it has been engaged to host the NBA 2K League European Invitational. This esports event is the first-ever NBA 2K League qualifying event in Europe and follows the success of the NBA 2K League APAC Invitational, held in February of this year.
The NBA 2K League European Invitational will feature 20 players from Austria, Belgium, France, Germany, Spain, Turkey and the U.K. competing over two days of gameplay, including scrimmages and a double-elimination tournament, and participating in interviews with league representatives and team managers. At the end of the NBA 2K League European Invitational, a committee comprised of league representatives and team managers will identify several players who will become eligible for the 2020 NBA 2K League Draft.
The NBA 2K League European Invitational will take place over two days on 13-14 December 2019 from the Gfinity Arena in London, home to some of the leading esports events including the ePremier League and F1 New Balance Esports Series. The double-elimination tournament on 14 December will be livestreamed on the NBA 2K League's Twitch and YouTube channels.
