Glanbia plc ('the Company') announces the following board changes with effect from 27 May 2009:

• the appointment of Mr. James Gannon as a Non-Executive Director of the Company;

• the retirement of Mr. Michael Parsons as a Non-Executive Director of the Company.

Mr. Gannon is also a Director of Glanbia Co-operative Society Limited and farms at Oldtown, Ballyragget, Co. Kilkenny.

Mr. Gannon has notified the Company that he has no details to be disclosed as required under Paragraph 6.6.7 Chapter 6 of the Irish Listing Rules and Paragraph 9.6.13, Chapter 9 of the UK Listing Rules.

Mr. Gannon has today (27 May 2009) on his appointment notified the Company, pursuant to Section 53 of the Companies Act, 1990 as extended by Section 64 of the Companies Act 1990, that he is interested in 12,552 ordinary shares of €0.06 each in Glanbia plc.
