The Board of Glanbia plc, the global nutritional solutions and cheese Group, today (26 May 2011) appointed Mr. Henry Corbally as Vice-Chairman. Mr.Corbally succeeds Mr. Victor Quinlan, who has today retired as Vice-Chairman and Director of the Company. Mr. Corbally has also been appointed Vice-Chairman of Glanbia Co-operative Society Limited.
Mr. Corbally was appointed to the Board in 1999. He is vice-Chairman of the National Dairy Council. He farms at Kilmainhamwood, Kells, Co. Meath.
Mr. Liam Herlihy continues as Chairman and Mr. Martin Keane continues in his role as Vice-Chairman of the Board.
The Board of Glanbia plc also announces the following board changes, with effect from today, the appointment of Mr. William Carroll, Mr. David Farrell, Mr. Patrick Murphy and Mr. Eamon Power as non-executive Directors of the Company and the retirement of Mr. Edward Fitzpatrick, Mr. James Gilsenan and Mr. Anthony O'Connor as non-executive Directors of the Company.
Messrs Carroll, Farrell, Murphy and Power are all Farmers and Directors of Glanbia Co-operative Society Limited.
Mr. Carroll farms at Mile Tree, Clonmel, Co. Tipperary. Mr. Farrell farms at Ringlestown, Kilmessan, Co. Meath. Mr. Murphy farms at Smithstown, Maddoxtown, Co. Kilkenny. Mr. Power farms at Corse House, Fethard on Sea, New Ross, Co. Wexford.
Messrs Carroll, Farrell, Murphy and Power have notified the Company that they have no details to be disclosed as required under Paragraph 6.6.7, Chapter 6 of the Irish Listing Rules and Paragraph 9.6.13, Chapter 9 of the UK Listing Rules.
Mr. Murphy and Mr. Power have today on their appointment notified the Company, pursuant to Section 53 of the Companies Act, 1990 as extended by Section 64 of the Companies Act 1990, that they are interested in ordinary shares of €0.06 each in Glanbia plc, as set out below:

Mr. Carroll and Mr. Farrell have today on their appointment notified the Company, pursuant to Section 53 of the Companies Act, 1990 as extended by Section 64 of the Companies Act 1990, that they are not interested in any ordinary shares of €0.06 each in Glanbia plc.
