Notice of Extraordinary General Meeting in relation to the proposed disposal of the Irish Dairy and Agri Businesses

Further to the announcement dated 20 April 2010 regarding the proposed disposal of the Irish Dairy and Agri Businesses, (the 'Disposal'), Glanbia plc  (the 'Company') announces that a circular is being posted to shareholders of the Company. 

The circular gives further details of the Disposal and contains a notice of the extraordinary general meeting of the Company to approve the Disposal (the 'EGM'). The EGM will be held at Lyrath Estate Hotel, Dublin Road, Kilkenny, Ireland at 11.00 a.m. on Tuesday 25 May 2010. 

Copies of the circular, notice of availability and proxy form have been forwarded to the Irish Stock Exchange and the Financial Services Authority and will shortly be available for inspection at the following addresses:
