Glanbia plc ('Glanbia'), the international nutritional solutions and cheese group, is pleased to announce that it has successfully completed the USD325 million private placement of 10 year senior loan notes referred in the Company's half-yearly report of Wednesday 24 August 2011. The notes are unsecured, ranking pari passu with Glanbia's existing senior debt, and have a fixed coupon rate of 5.40%. The proceeds will be used to repay existing bank debt.
