Total Voting Rights
Shareholders are advised of the following changes to the Company's total voting rights, both of which took place on 19th December:
1) as announced by the Company today the Company purchased 1,075,000 shares as
part of its share repurchase programme; and
2) a conversion of $4.5million of the USD 2.3 billion 5.00 per cent. convertible bonds
due 2014 has resulted in 869,272 shares being removed from treasury to satisfy the
conversion in full. (The period for conversion has now expired and therefore no
further conversions of these bonds will occur.)
Following the above transactions, Glencore holds a total of 133,920,880 of its ordinary shares in treasury and has 13,144,484,586 ordinary shares in issue (excluding treasury shares).
Glencore's issued share capital consists of 13,278,405,466 ordinary shares of US$0.01 each. Each ordinary share carries one voting right except for the 133,920,880 shares which the Company holds in treasury.
The above figure of 13,144,484,586 may be used by shareholders as the denominator for the calculations by which they will determine if they are required to notify their interest in, or a change to their interest in, Glencore under the FCA's Disclosure and Transparency Rules.
