Global Petroleum Limited announces that on Friday 10 November 2006 three
Directors of the Company sold a total of 4.2 million shares of no par value in
the Company at 32.6p (A$0.80) per share. Dr John Armstrong, Executive Chairman
sold 1.2 million shares and Peter Blakey and Peter Taylor sold 1.5 million
shares each. The shares sold represented 2.4% of the issued capital of the
Company.

Following the sales Dr Armstrong holds 1,066,667 shares (0.6 %) and Peter Blakey
and Peter Taylor hold, directly and indirectly 27,424,318 (15.7%) each in the
Company.
