Appointment of Non-Executive Director

Global Petroleum Limited (the "Company")

The Board of Global Petroleum Limited ("the Company") is pleased to announce that Mr Clinton McGhie has been appointed as Non-Executive Director and Company Secretary of the Company with immediate effect.

Mr McGhie, aged 31, is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants, the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and the Financial Services Institute of Australasia. He commenced his career with an international Chartered Accounting firm and has since worked in the role of Company Secretary and Chief Financial Officer for a number of listed companies that operate in the resources sector.

Mr McGhie replaces Mr Shane Cranswick who has resigned effective immediately as Non-Executive Director and Company Secretary.  The Board would like to thank Mr Cranswick for his contribution to the Company.

Mr McGhie's current directorships include:

Berkeley Exploration Limited

Equa Holdings Pty Ltd

Eaglestein Pty Ltd

Garden Salad Pty Ltd

Komanichi Pty Ltd

Mr McGhie has not been a director of any other companies in the previous five years.

As at the date of appointment as a Director of the Company, Mr McGhie has no interest in the issued securities of Global Petroleum Limited.

Save for the above, there is no further information required to be disclosed under paragraph (g) of Schedule 2 of the AIM Rules.
