                            Ireland and Malta Licenses extended


Global Petroleum Limited (Global) advises that the Irish government has extended
Global's Licensing Option 03/3 for 12 months until 31 December 2006 and that the
Malta government has extended the Exploration Study Agreement (ESA) area 3
Blocks 4 and 5 for six months until 26 June 2006. The Company continues to seek
the participation of farminees to take over the operatorship and conduct work to
earn significant equity in these projects.
