Global Petroleum Ltd 04 December 2006 Global Petroleum Limited KENYA UPDATE - POMBOO NO.1 Global Petroleum advises that the Pomboo No. 1 Well in its L-5 Kenya Licence spudded on 2 December at 12:15hrs local time. The well is being drilled in 2,200 metres of water to a depth of approximately 5,000 metres below sea level. The L-5 Joint Venture comprises: Woodside 30% (and operator); Dana 30% * Repsol 20% * Global 20% The costs associated with Global's 20% in L5 and L7 are carried for all activities through the drilling of the first well in each of these areas.
