            RESERVES ANNOUNCEMENT 19 June 2009

Texon Petroleum Ltd ('Texon') refers to the announcement made on 19 June 2009 and wishes to clarify that the reserves estimate attributable to the increased number of well locations in the Leighton oil and gas field was prepared internally and confirmed by a reservoir consultant qualified in accordance with the listing rules but on a non-formal basis.

The consultant is completing a formal reserves report in compliance with the listing rules which will form the basis of the Company's mid-year reserves report and is expected to be completed in the next few days. 

Accordingly the Company retracts the estimate of reserves in the 19 June announcement pending the completion of the formal reserves report.

A further announcement will be made to the market at that time.
