Global Petroleum advises that announcements were made by Falkland Oil and Gas 
Limited ('FOGL') on 22nd December 2005 (Interim Results) and 4th January 2006 
(Directorate Change). Global Petroleum is a 14% shareholder in FOGL.

The announcements are available for viewing at: www.londonstockexchange.com.

On 10th January 2006, FOGL's shares closed at 118p, so that Global's 12.85 
million shares have a value at A$35.6 million (approx. 21c / Global share).
