Appointment of director
Nick Temple, former chief executive and chairman of IBM UK, was yesterday
appointed a non-executive director of auxinet, the AIM listed e-commerce
enabler. The auxinet Group incorporates DataCash, the leading e-commerce
payments solutions company, e-commerce search specialists, boldly-go.com, and
Corporate Executive Search.
Nicholas J. Temple (age 52) has 30 years experience in the global technology
market-place with IBM. He was appointed chief executive of IBM UK in 1992 and
subsequently chairman in 1995. Since leaving IBM in 1995 he has been
appointed non-executive director of a number of leading-edge technology
companies and is currently a non-executive director of Electrocomponents plc,
Blick plc and Cyber-CV Limited (chairman). From 1997 to 1999 he was chief
executive of Armature Limited.
Commenting on the appointment, David Bailey, chairman of auxinet, said:
'Nick's experience and deep breadth of knowledge and industry relationships
will accelerate auxinet's ability to maximise the growth opportunities
available to the Group within the global e-commerce market-place'.
