Notification of Shareholding under
Chapter 2 of Part IV of the Companies Act, 1990
Grafton Group plc ('the company') has been informed on 22nd October 2002 by Bank
of Ireland Asset Management Limited of 26 Fitzwilliam Place, Dublin 2 that it
had a notifiable interest in 21,543,547 Grafton Units 'Units' representing 12.2%
of the issued share capital of the company. Of these shares 21,105,175 Units
are registered in the name of Bank of Ireland Nominees Limited, 139,262 Units
are registered in the name of Nortrust Nominees and 299,110 Units are registered
in the name of Citibank Nominees Limited as registered owners only, on behalf of
a range of clients who are each the beneficial owner of a portion of the
shareholding.
